About a month ago, the Fethullah Gulen Chair for intercultural studies was established at Catholic University of Leuven. This was an important event in terms of rapprochement of Christian and Muslim world as well as promoting mutual understanding among people of different cultures. In spite of this fact, Professor Johan Leman, the holder of the Chair was criticized by some Belgians and Turks who think that Fethullah Gulen movement has clandestine agenda. Refuting this baseless criticism, professor Leman noticed that he has been in close contact with followers of the movement and has never encountered any evidences of secret agendas. Moreover, professor Leman admitted that Fethullah Gulen movement is “a perfect partner to work with” because of the importance it gives to education.
