Malaysian Seminar on education discusses ideas and teachings of Fethullah Gulen

Seminar on religion-inspired educational establishments and foundations was held this week in Malaysia. The seminar was organized by the Center for Advanced Studies on Islam, Science and Civilization (CASIS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Malaysian Turkish Dialogue Society (MTDS). The seminar focused on discussing the ideas and teachings of Turkish scholar, intellectual and preacher Fethullah Gulen and the system of education inspired by him. Read rest of the story

TOWARDS A BETTER GENERATION

Our young people are living in and through a most distressing period.  The challenge of ensuring that today’s children would experience a better world is up to us now.

The neglect of past centuries has brought to fruit the successive calamities we are experiencing now.  The young have been buried under a heavy burden of anxiety with nothing of use coming to them from their fathers and mothers, from the home or the school, nothing whatever of any spiritual value. In his meditation on youth, Mr. Gulen highlights the importance placed on raising strong, vibrant, healthy youth relates directly to the progress of a nation, and ultimately of the world. Virtue, education, community, spirit and consciousness are necessities in the upbringing of our youth, Mr. Gulen emphasizes that these are crucial in the positive upbringing of our youth and will in turn reflect a positive future.
