Pacifica Institute Presents Lecture Series at Anatolian Festival
Pacifica Institute, a non-profit organization which was founded by a group of Turkish-Americans of the West Coast, has organized Anatolian Cultures and Food Festival in Costa Mesa, CA between October 6 and October 9. The significance of the Turkish Muslim scholar Fethullah Gulen are among the topics that is presented by James C. Harrington, a human rights attorney, and founder and director of the Texas Civil Rights Project, who has taught at the University of Texas School of Law for twenty-five years. The other issues to be discussed are Turkish-Israeli relations, the legacy of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, Islam in Turkey, Turkey and the Arab Spring, and the Jewish Muslim history.
